Fluffy White Stuff

Well, it's the first real day of snow here in Manmore.  Holy crap, it sucks, being cold sucks but it's so beautiful at the same time, I can't help but be in love.  Sometimes I think it's one of the best places to live on earth and then I see it's -25 outside and I quickly wish to be in Mexico.  But such is life…

Today is actually quite mild out, the snow will melt in a few hours and it's going to be primo up at the Lake. I'm going out to Moraine for a hike, maybe scope some new bolted unclimbed lines to chop, because it's really hard to see a new line if it's not already bolted, nearly impossible actually.  Okay, that was silly of me, I'll stop.  Not a peep. Anyway – it's going to be a blast, we are actually only going for a hike, and I hope everybody out there is getting a chance to do the same, it's Saturday goddammit let's go out and play.  Grab your best friend and some wheels and go explore, it's always hard to get out, but once you're out, you never want to go home.  Or at least that's how I feel sometimes.  Anyway I am rambling and too much  coffee is takiing effect, so I will go,  have a merry weeked everyone and I hope the first snow fall in your area is just as pure, refreshing and magical and makes you feel really alive.  So because I have nothing really that interesting to say and 'm on my way out the door, I'll let some pictures I took this morning do the talking.

Ciao!    S.

Okay, you win. It’s definately beautiful where you are. If it wasn’t so cold there I’d happily live there myself. Will take a drive to the Rockies sometime soon; if heavy snow by then, the train will suffice. I want to see Lake Louise, and Jasper mostly.

Scotland was as white when I first moved up there; and Norway equally as beautiful, and as cold.

Great memories, having lived there in teenage years 🙂

Oh I just love this time of year. Reminds me of growing up in Fernie. We got a skiff up in the hills yesterday, but not much. Love your pics!!!

    See you soon!

Everywhere is beautiful, so is everyone, but we all have bad hair days and it’s nice to catch the Bow Valley on such a magical morning. That’s why I wear a hat, I have horrible hair.

Apes, can’t wait to see K-town in November, trying to decide whether to drive or fly, I might want to take a tour down to Smith Rock and do some late fall crispy chip crimp climbing. Hopefully the BF will be prime.
